Gaza Solidarity Encampment at Northwestern University
Follow @nudivestmentcoalition for updates on the ongoing Gaza solidarity encampment on Deering Meadow at Northwestern University. They periodically share whether they are in need of more bodies, supplies, etc.
Chicago Palestine Film Festival
4/20-5/4 at the Gene Siskel Film Center. The Chicago Palestine Film Festival is an annual cultural event that serves as a vibrant platform for showcasing the rich and diverse narratives of Palestinian cinema. The festival provides a unique space for filmmakers, artists, and audience members to engage with compelling stories that explore the multifaceted aspects of Palestinian life. Through a carefully curated selection of feature films, documentaries, and shorts, the festival seeks to foster a deeper understanding of the Palestinian experience. More info here.
JVP Chicago New Member Orientation
5/2 @ 7pm on Zoom. An introduction to JVP-National and JVP-Chicago: what we're about, our history, our values, our vision for the future, and how we organize. Please come if you are new to JVP and haven't yet had a chance to attend one of these sessions. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and opportunities to figure out how to plug in to JVP activity and work. Register for this meeting here.
May Chapter Meeting
5/5 @ 12-2pm CST at Haymarket House (800 W. Buena Ave) and on Zoom. As always, there will be light refreshments. Feel free to bring something to share, although not at all necessary! Please RSVP here for the meeting, regardless of whether you will be attending in-person or virtually.
3rd Annual Palestine Flag Raising Ceremony with AMP Chicago
5/11 @ 2-6pm at the Daley Center. Join AMP Chicago for the 3rd annual Palestinian flag raising, followed by a march to protest the ongoing Nakba and and genocide in Gaza. More information here.

Donate to JVP Chicago
Make a donation this week to JVP-Chicago and help pay for our actions and events! Through April 30th, the chapter gets to keep 100% of all contributions. (The normal arrangement is 30% goes to National. Not that we begrudge funding National.) Plus any donation $18 or more renews or starts your official JVP membership.
